Karnataka records 1,065 new Covid cases, DK's single-day spike highest in state

Bengaluru, Aug 16: Karnataka on Monday, Aug 16 registered 1,065 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 22,048. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 270 and Dakshina Kannada reported 284.

As many as 28 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Monday, with Bengaluru Urban recording four deaths, the death toll in the state has risen to 37,007.

The state recorded 1,468 discharges from hospitals on Monday, taking the total discharges to 28,71,448.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,30,529 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.93% while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.62%.

As many as 3,49,40,944 people have received vaccination so far.

    These reports are coming from Banglore and is likely to be manipulated .. The CMS shouted at the DHO for the very same reason when he said that we have informed the bangalore office.
