Daijiworld Media Network - Chikkamagaluru (SP)

Chikkamagaluru, Aug 16: Five residents of Muguluvalli village in the district were convinced that they were lucky, when they got an offer from a company.

All the villagers got a phone call informing them that their names had emerged in the draw of lots and that the company was by way of rewards, offering mobile phones worth Rs 15,000 for just 1,500. The lady who called said that if they were OK with the deal, she would send the prizes forthwith or else the offer will be made to others.

These five villagers did not know that the other four had also got similar calls. Later, they got the parcels which were delivered against payment of cash. They opened their parcels and found Soan Papdi sweet inside the boxes.

The villagers called the number from where they got the call but there was response. One of the deceived persons, Theertha Kumar, found out that as against sweets he found in his box, other villagers had received tattered clothes, non-functional charger, dummi powerbank etc. The villagers who were deceived have urged the others to be extremely careful about suchy rackets.

Always same .When someone phones ,to deposit money or won lottery, people loose senses. One has to understand noone in this world has anything to give to others without cost or costly phones for less money.Either it should be stolen one or to steal their money.Such calls should be ignored and switch off.why these poor class people to loose money simply get duped.Instead use that money for your children education. They you will have more from it.sad .Think twice when next call comes.
