Mangaluru: Weekend, night curfew to continue till 6 am on Aug 30 - DC

Mangaluru, Aug 17: Deputy commissioner (DC) Dr K V Rajendra on Monday August 16 said that the weekend and night curfew rules will be in place till August 30. The guidelines will be applicable till 6 am on August 30.

The guidelines will be same which are being followed currently. The district administration has permitted pubs, bars and restaurants to be kept open only till 7 pm on weekdays.

The night curfew will be in place from 9 pm to 6 am.

It may be recalled, weekend curfew was ordered by the state government on districts bordering Kerala and Maharashtra due to rising cases of Covid.

    "DC should implement total lockdown instead of this curfews" - This may result in having increased conceiving rate (since couples are idle) and thereby giving higher birthrate eventually. Think before implementing full lock down!

    DC should implement total lockdown instead of this curfews. The third wave is at the doors. Flights should be stopped. Seal the borders. The virus is dangerous, worse than Spanish flu. Be home be safe

    DC Bro I just cant understand for whom.is this curfew you are imposing . You had said no processions & gatherings. Strickt action will be taken. 15th August thet took.charrot procession why youbdidntvtake a ton. Now Aug 17th BD is taking procession why are you giving permission. Rules h Should be same to all. Why should normal people suffer

    Keeping restaurant open only upto 7 pm,will worsen the hoteliwrs.life.One already suffered huge loss since 2 years lockdown and this DC imposing weekend curfew which is utter stupidity,just showing his power.Useless DC.we don't want this DC in Mangalore. Our MP is enjoying in other areas and doesn't concerned anything about improvement s of DK. .

    covid itself murky needs to be investigated....May be less than 10% are real covid 19 cases rest all are common flu, not harmful adeno viruses, other common seasonal viruses such as corona 17, Corona 18, Corona 20, Corona 21, murky RT PCR virus test detect them as chinese lab created? Covid 19 ? and for this virus everyone has to take elite's billion dollor money making covid 19 vaccines suffer both virus as well as vaccine consequences? Vaccines themselves are virus generators is the question ? as after vaccination virus infections have become widespread
