Mangaluru: Under fire for mimicking Kateel devotional song, Ramu Salian apologises

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Aug 18: Ramu Salian had sung comedy song that was tuned after the devotional song hailing Goddess Durgaparameshwari of Kateel. The song had become viral and he was also trolled.

Realizing that he was wrong in mimicking devotional song and tuning comedy song after the devotional song, Ramu Salian who sung the comic songs, has tendered an apology. He said that he decided to apologise as the people of Tulunadu feel insulted because of his song.

Salian, noting that the people of Tulunadu are unhappy on this issue, said he had committed a grave mistake without realising it, and therefore came forward to apologise for his mistake.

Salian said that he was recently contacted on phone by a Kabaddi coach of Moodbidri Alva's College and explained where he had gone wrong "I realised thereafter about my mistake. I did not do this with the purpose of insulting the Goddess. I committed this mistake without realising it, and therefore I tender my apology," he explained.

At the same time, he noted that some people had derided him by using abusive words, adding that this is unlike the Hindus. "A Hindu would have come to me to inform me that I was wrong, duly advising me to correct myself. But those who use foul language and try to dent the self-confidence of a person cannot be a Hindu," he stated.

Sentiments should not be hurt. I too have watched his video song and there is not even single vulgar word has been used. I was astonished to see his talent. He has copied the tune that may hurt some one's sentiments.

Mr.Salian ,you have not done any wrong. You have not sung insulting words ,not with any intention. Now you realized the tune was from Devotional song ,but now apologised.why worry now?Everybody is not perfect.Everyone make mistakes. One learns with mistakes. There are people everywhere to find mistake in everything. So dont feel guilty.I want to tell one thing. Here in Germany there was foot ball tournament in a big stadium .One famous singer lady, was suppose to sing National Anthem.well she started singing, somehow she sang wrong inbetween. All shouted .but ok.No problems arised.Sometimes when you are very nervous by a big happening .That can happen to anyone.

Silly issue, people are jobless to make issue out of everything. It was a harmless lines he sang, dint demean anyone in the song. The tune belongs to the music composer of original song, so if someone should be upset its him. Not God.

First video was natural , it became instant hit. second video was staged just made for gaining likes.. any which ways he has realised his mistake and tendered apaolgy , so matter is closed. dont think he did the video to insult Goddess, just got excited with the response for his first video. People should be careful when they use social media, small thing can be reason for others to get triggered .
