Three Rapists Arrested in Jeddah

JEDDAH, Sep 27 (Arab News): Two Chadian and one Saudi, aged between 19 and 21, were arrested for raping a 26-year-old Yemeni woman. The incident happened in Jeddah’s Jamia District on Friday according to police reports.

“They broke into the house in order to steal but when they saw the young lady alone with her blind mother, they raped her,” said First Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq of Jeddah police. “All this happened in front of her blind mother with one of the rapists holding a knife down the girl’s throat and threatening to kill her mother if she did not acquiesce,” he added.

The house does not have a lock on the door and is closed with a sofa to secure the door, according to her older sister. “We live in a very poor neighborhood with me, my children and my blind mother,” said Um Khalid, the victim’s older sister. “We rely on social security for our income. Following this incident we have now moved from the house to my friend’s house for now,” she added.

“After the incident, my sister called the police and provided them with accurate descriptions, stressing that their leader was short and skinny. The police quickly rounded up the suspects and called her to identify the three men,” said Um Khalid.

The police said that the three men were under the influence of alcohol. After they admitted to their crime their case was transferred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution.

Head Line: Commission Reported Over 23,500 Crimes in Madinah Last Year.
    Arab news
    ____________________________________________________

Madinah – The commission for the Promotion of Virtue and prevention of Vice in Madihan has reported that it handled over 23,500 cases last year.

According to the commission's annual report for 1426AH (2005-2006), the vast majority of the cases involved drug trafficking and sexual harassment.
The report noted that out of a total of 23,516 cases, sex-related crimes accounted for 14 percent. These included harassment, illegal relationships, pimping and operating brothels and selling pornography.
The commission arrested 1011 people for drug offenses and 52 others for practicing black magic, the report said.

This is the report of a Religious Police in the so called Cradle of Islam. The commission reported whichever they caught and whichever they have not caught will be more and more higher and that is also in Madinah only. The above is edited by me from the news cutting. The published date is also mentioned as a proof.

I THINK THESE ARE THE CONSEQUENSES OF GIVING EXTRA FREEDOM AND NOT ABIDING TO THE STRICT SHARIAH RULES.THE KINGDOM SHOULD NOT BOW OR COMPROMISE TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OR TO THE HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS IN IMPLEMENTING THE SHARIAH.THEN ONLY CAN CONTROL THE INCREASING CRIME RATE.ONCE UPON A TIME 30 YEARS BACK NO ONE DARES TO GAZE A UNKNOWN FEMALES IN THE KINGDOM.SUCCESS WILL KISS YOUR FEETS IF YOU WILL ABIDE TO THE SHARIA STRICTLY.
