Mangaluru: Two women killed while crossing railway track

Mangaluru, Aug 21: In a tragic incident that occurred on the morning of Saturday August 21, at Mahakali Padpu in the city, two women lost their life as they were run over by the train while crossing the track.

Both women were taking the rolled beedies to be delivered to the beedi branch.

Railway police visited the spot and undertook investigation.

The mortal remains were shifted to Wenlock hospital for post-mortem.

    Such incidents usually happen when 2 trains pass simultaneously. People focus only on the one that comes from the front and the sound of the other one isn't registered in the head. Really sad, RIP.
