Mumbai, Oct 5: Seva Bharati organized a Yakshagana show as part of its silver jubilee celebrations at Bunts Bhavan auditorium, Kurla (East), here on Sunday October 3.
Pune’s well-known social worker and veteran entrepreneur Kushal S Hegde inaugurated the programme.
Silver jubilee celebration committee honorary president B Vivek Shetty presided over the programme.
Bunts Sangh president Aikala Harish Shetty was the chief guest.
Entrepreneurs Sadashiv S Shetty and Suresh S Shetty Bellary, Silver Inn Hotel Group managing director Jayaram N Shetty, and veteran hotelier ATZ Narayan Shetty were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Felicitation committee president Dharmapal U Devadiga, Seva Bharati honorary chief secretary Bhaskar A Shetty, treasurer Sadashiv B Shetty, Yaksha committee president K K Shetty, organizers Damodar Shetty Iruvail and Bhaskar Shetty Devalakunda were present on the dais.
The national ‘Yaksha Bharati’ awards were conferred on well-known Yakshagana artists Molahalli Heria Naik, M K Ramesh Acharya, Kanchana Sanjeev Rai couple, Perody Narayan Bhat, Kolyaru Raju Shetty, and Narayana Guru Yakshagana Mandali president C T Salian, during the programme.
Seva Bharati president Jaya K Shetty welcomed the gathering. Krishna Shetty introduced the guests. Padmanabha Sasihitlu compered the programme and secretary Bhaskar V Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
Seva Bharati has been engaged in providing opportunities to grow in society through guidance, thereby promoting brotherhood through the medium of Indian culture.
Seva Bharati was founded in the metro by renowned organizer, social activist, and poet Jaya K Shetty in 1985. Mumbai’s former Mayor Dr Prabhakar S Pai inaugurated Seva Bharati in a function held at Shanmukhanand Auditorium.
