Bengaluru, Sep 17: In a weird incident which happened within the limits of Bagalgunte police station here on September 13, a youth escaped after kissing a lady who was travelling by a bus and was asleep.

The incident happened in a KSRTC sleeper air-conditioned bus coming to the city from Ballari at about 5 am on September 13. The bus was moving when the youth reportedly kissed the cheek of the girl before escaping. The lady filed complaint in Peenya police station. The police there transferred the case to Bagalgunte police station.

The complainant happens to be a 21-year-old engineering student of a prestigious college here. After attending Gauri and Ganesha festival at her native place, Ballari, she had travelled to Bengaluru by night bus. When the bus was between T Dasarahalli and Jalahalli Cross in the city, the reported incident happened.

The police are searching for the youth. They have also sought details like who was the youth, from where he had travelled, whether he had bought a ticket online etc from KSRTC, it is learnt.
