Bengaluru: PhD awarded to Fr Roshan Castelino SJ

Bengaluru, Oct 2: Fr Roshan Castelino, SJ, of the department of Physics, St Joseph's College (Autonomous) Bengaluru has been awarded doctorate in Physics from department of Physics, University of Namur, Belgium for his research and thesis on ‘ Molecular beam epitaxy growth of molybdenum ditelluride (MoTe2) on grapheme/6H-SiC(0001): Phase controlled synthesis and characterization’ on July 30, 2021.

This research of about 4 years on the topic of semi-conductor was done under the guidance of Prof. Robert Sporken, University of Namur.

Fr Roshan is the son of George Castelino (National Teacher Awardee – 2006) and Reena Castelino, Nakre - Karkala, both retired teachers. Fr Roshan is the old student of Mahalingeshwara HP School, Nakre and Government High School, Nakre, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru and Christ University, Bengaluru.

    I am indeed delighted and happy to know that our Rev Fr Roshan Castelinho, SJ has been awarded the PhD just the other day. I wish to Congratulate him for this Great Honour for his untying efforts to grab this coveted achievement in life as he was dedicated in religious dedicated life.
