Chikmagalur: Congress Performs 'Last Rites' of MLAs

Chikmagalur, Oct 28 (DHNS): Congressmen performed ‘last rites’ of Jagaluru MLA Ramachandrappa and Bangarapet MLA Narayanaswamy who abandoned Congress party, at Santhe Maidan here on Wednesday.

This came as an expression of contempt against the move of the MLAs of quitting the party.
District Congress Committee President M L Murthy garlanded the portraits of the two MLAs and started the rituals.

The protesters placed ‘ragi mudde,’ mutton curry, puris, beedi packet, match box, beetle leaves and beetle nuts, tobacco, one bottle of alcohol, coconut, bananas and various other items on two plantain leaves as it is done in case of death of a person. Shouting out slogans against the two, all the food items served on the plantain leaves were kept open for dogs.

While the dogs lavished on the mutton pieces, beedi, brandy, plantain and coconut were later picked by onlookers.

    Dear all commentors,please stick on article...don't go to any personal critisim...some time this comments box is giving very good enjoyment.....today I felt some of the comments are below the level and bad...I can say indian politicians are third grade politicians except some fingure count.

    Good work, even though they left congress, Congress Party did not forget to do Last Rites. Why not kept some fake notes, may God give peace to their soul my sincere condolence to the bereaved family members. They deserve this!!!!!

    Nothing wrong in this. In fact voters from JAGALUR and BANGARPET must have done it in public and flow the ashes into Ganga thinking that THEY WILL NOT REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN .

    Dont look at the party.... think about the candidate you are choosing to represent you in Vidhana Sabha. Use your brain before voting.

    REJECT THE CANDIDATES IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY WITH HIS OR HERS CAPABILITIES . dONT VOTE UNTILL YOU GET THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.

    That is the only way to improve yourself.

    As i know congress is an natinoal party in indian politics MLA,S jumping one party to other is also common if one MLA is is eelected by the people from one party they should stay in party for atleast for one term that is five years but the what is happend in chickmaglore (last rites) it will spoil the image of the congress party is the lacal congress know about it if not let them take action who have done this but shame on the people who ever done this
