Kundapur: Old lady falls into well, dies

Kundapur, Oct 23: Parvathi Shettigar (88), wife of the late Basava Shettigar Vakwady village in the taluk lost her life after falling into a well on Thursday.

Parvathi's son, Chandrashekhar Shettigar, had left for Koteshwar at 9.30 am on Thursday to bring medicine for his mother. When he returned home at 12.15 pm, he could not find his mother. He went searching for her and saw that she was floating in the well located adjacent to his home. He brought her out with the help of neighbours and took her to Kundapur hospital but she breathed her last on the way.
