Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Oct 26: A huge fish got caught in a fishnet that was spread out by the fishermen in the Arabian Sea. The video of the fish has become viral on social media sites.

This fish was caught by the fishermen of a boat titled Sagar.

This boat had left for deep sea fishing from the fishing port here.

This fish belongs to the category of sharks. Catching these fishes is banned. Therefore, the fishermen who released the fish from the net, used a crane to release it back into the sea.

The fish weighed over 1,500 kg and the fishermen captured the scene of the fish being caught through their mobile phones.

Am not sure if the Shark survived the torture meted to it by the careless fishermen. It is unfortunate fishermen in India are perhaps the least enlightened when it comes to matters of preserving environment and bio diversity. I hope and pray the shark will live healthy and strong for a long time to come. Jai Hind!!!
