Mangaluru, Nov 19: Commuters heaved a sigh of relief as Kasargod-Mangaluru government bus services resumed on Friday November 19.

As passengers from Kerala had no information on the resumption of bus service, passengers alighted in Talapady, which is the border of Kerala-Karnataka and boarded Mangaluru city buses.

All the city buses from Karnataka used to a U-turn in lower Talapady. From Friday, city buses went to upper Talapady and returned.

As most of the commuters from Kerala depend on private buses, passengers travelling in public transport from both the states were less.

Police check point was functioning as it was earlier. Two police personnel were working on the spot. The buses which used to travel from BC Road to Kasargod, used to take U-turn in Thokottu.

The bus service resumption has helped the commuters.
