Chikkamagaluru, Nov 20: BJP national general secretary C T Ravi, clarified that the central government decided to withdraw the farm laws because of the fact that misconceptions were spread by the doomsayers and also because of the evil intentions which drive the agitators fighting against these laws.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday November 19, Ravi said that in a democratic system, stepping back a little need not be considered as an insult. He predicted that there will be a day in which the people will lament about the fact that the decision taken by the Prime Minister relating to farm laws was a good step and it should have been implemented.

He said that the laws were favourable to the farmers but some terrorists in Punjab spread wrong notions about the laws among the people. "We succeeded in convincing the people about the good intentions behind the act all over the country but we did not succeed in Punjab and Haryana," he analysed.

    FARM LAWS WRRE NOT ONLY FOR PUNJAB ....it was whole country .... All the farmers in all the states either were in open support protesting Or offering Tacit support for the farmer agitation ... If the laws were good then many farmer organisations obviously would have supported And endorsed ..these laws ... When bjp has 300 plus members of parliament How they could not galvanise support in their Individual constituency... Forget Punjab for argument sake WHY FARMERS ALL OVER HAVE NOT GIVEN SUPPORT....

    This guy hasn’t heard Modi apologies on theTV and all this has come about because of opinion pools show that BJP may loose UP and Punjab election and may result in loosing power at centre. He didn’t even say a word when nearly 700 farmers died and some were killed by a BJP MP’s son and now only apologising because he is scarred of loosing power.

    The BJP Govt has made a mockery of Parlimentary Democracy by passing these Farm Bills without any discussion in the house or taken any Parlimentary bodies into confidence. It is clear to the people of our country that these three farm bills was a dubious case of match fixing by Modi and Amit Shah for their crony capitalists friends like Ambani and Adani. The elaborate advance preparations , go downs, super markets, land acquisitions and other arrangements by industrialists Abmani and Adani are already in the public domain. These crony capitalists will then dominate the agriculture sector and render the farmers vulnerable and vanquished. . They finally passed it in the Rajya Sabha in a most deceitful manner through a voice vote just to please their Crony Capitalist friends at the expense of the Farmers. A Suit Boot Ki Sarkar that is totally insensitive, Callous, Indifferent, Arrogant and Autocratic that cares two hoots for the lower sections of our society including farmers. "Since Independence, it is for the first time that an arrogant government has come to power. It is not even looking at the pain and sufferings of farmers, forget about the common man,"If Agriculture is a State subject the why has the center passed Bills on Farm Laws on Agriculture

    Modi thought that he could push his own laws down the throats of the farmers just as he had done with the minority Opposition. Any new bill before becoming a law, needs to be discussed throughly across party lines, so that people with experience and knowledge can weigh the pros and cons and its effect on the society and the economy. BJP has had a bad habit of bulldozing its own agenda without thinking of the consequences, whether it be demonetization, GST, tax legislation, Covid vaccination program etc. Unfortunately people have short memories and a few wads of cash and bottles during election time is enough to sway the financially poor to vote in its favour.

    Please understand that it is not officially withdrawn. PM gave a speech and said he is withdrawing the three laws. Parliament has to approve this. Then only we can believe it is truly done. Should not be an election gimmick

    In Mangalore all basana works but it doesn't works with Saradajis who are stronger than you think. Dont meddle.with them. I see them teaching a good lessons to those who refuse to listen to them. My respect for every farmer including my father who is a farmer as well in Mangalore. Farmers are not terrorists but a bread providers to all hungry people. Again without farmers life has no meaning. Let's join hands with farmers and pray for thier well being .
