Ryan Group Enters into MoU with University of Cambridge for ESOL Exams

New Delhi, Nov 20: Sean Hayde, director, University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, and Grace Pinto, managing director, Ryan International Group of Education Institutions, announced the signing of
a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate English language skill assessments for all school, university, and working professionals across India, during a press conference held at The Connaught Hotel, recently.

The assessment will be conducted throughout the year in New Delhi, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bangalore, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chattisgarh, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh.

The MoU was signed by Dr Michael Milanovic, chief executive, University of Cambridge ESOL, and Ryan Pinto, chief executive officer, Ryan International Group, at the University of Cambridge ESOL Corporate office in Cambridge, UK.

The MOU is one of its kind in India where a leading network of schools have recognized the importance of language skills assessment in schools, which goes beyond assessing writing skills as the ESOL
examinations also assess listening, reading, and speaking skills in the English language. The assessment will be integrated within the regular English school curriculum and this shall require the teachers to enhance their capabilities to match the assessment standards of the University of Cambridge ESOL.

All the subject and English language teachers will also undergo the teaching knowledge test in order to strengthen their language skills to be capable enough to use English as a medium of teaching in schools.
From time to time, the University of Cambridge ESOL will also provide English expert trainers to develop Ryan teachers in ensuring the global assessment standards set by the University.
