Omicron positive doctor in Karnataka again tests Covid positive

Bengaluru, Dec 7 (IANS): The 46-year doctor who tested positive for Omicron variant has tested positive for Covid-19 in RT-PCR test even after completing 14 days of quarantine period, Karnataka Health Department sources said.

The hospital authorities were even ready to discharge him as the doctor has recovered completely from all symptoms and is doing absolutely fine. The result has surprised the doctors.

He will now continue in a quarantine facility at the hospital. However, three of his contacts who have tested positive, now have tested negative. However, until the report of their genomic sequencing comes in, they will be kept in the hospital.

They will be discharged if their genomic sequencing shows no presence of the Omicron variant and they test negative in the RT-PCR test which will be conducted on Tuesday.

The tests have shown that viral load in Omicron positive doctor has come down drastically.

The swab sample of the doctor was taken on November 22 and sent to the NCBS. After detection of Omicron variant, his 13 primary contacts and 205 secondary contacts were tracked.

Three primary contacts and two secondary contacts have tested positive for Covid-19. They have been isolated and further their samples have been sent for genomic sequencing for confirmation of presence of Omicron virus and results are awaited.

I am telling many times to close public, religious, political gatherings for 1 month and put marshals and police everywhere to monitor people should wear mask and social distancing.Govt should put banner or cut out written as 'Omicron is variant of concern spreading in State..It may be dangerous...Please wear mask....' in every public place..So that people will fear and they will wear mask by seeing the poster or banner or cut put in public place. Dear health Minister, I am requesting to provide 3rd dose To everyone and make night curfew from 8 pm to 6 am and make 50 percent occupancy/ capacity for all public places and public transport as third wave has also started...This guidelines should be only 1 month. Also put police and marshal in class rooms in college and schools to monitor whether students are following covid protocols.

Failed measures and protocols which are unscientific and are harming people and their lives are still media influenced always want back for a seasonal cold and flu like illnesses which affects only 1% of the people. This narrative is helping all totalitarian regimes to end freedoms of people and continue the same profitable stupid mandates unless people wake up and end this tyranny.
