Mumbai, Nov 23: The women’s wing of Rajapur Saraswat Sangh–Mumbai organized a one-day summit for women at Guru Ganesh Prasad auditorium, Sion (East), on Sunday November 21.
Smita Vaman Patkar, president, women’s wing, Rajapur Saraswat Sangh, presided over the programme here on Sunday.
The women’s wing founder members Poornima K Nayak, Sunita R Nayak, and Radhika G Nayak jointly inaugurated the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Smita urged the community women to work collectively towards sustaining cultural hierarchy.
Poornima urged the community women to be responsive and to instill Indian culture in their children.
Rajapur Saraswat Sangh president Prabhakar D Borkar was also present on the dais.
Smita V Patkar welcomed the gathering. Secretary Suma V Nayak introduced the guests. Sulata Nayak, Bharati Nayak, Sunita Kamath, and Rekha Nawalkar compered the programme. Joint secretary Vasudha R Nayak proposed the vote of thanks.
Seminars on the role of women in family were held on the occasion.
