Udupi, Dec 11: A youth was assaulted for roaming with a girl belonging to different religion. The incident took place on Saturday December 11.

Altaf from Saligrama and a girl, who was his neighbour, had come to Manapalla lake here in Manipal. Noticing the boy and girl belonging to different religions, Bajrang Dal activists obstructed the boy and assaulted him.

Pranesh, Vinuth Poojary and Sanjay Kumar have been identified as the accused who assaulted Altaf.

A case in this regard has been filed in Manipal police station by Altaf.

Police have arrested the three accused.

    Why aren't you guys taking a chance before Altaf did ? Be eligible young men, don't roam the streets jobless so that the girls don't get attracted to you. Have some education, a job and handful money. Beggars are not entertained by girls. Don't exercise your right over the girls, no matter from which community they are from. Mind your business of a 'Thotte' at the end of the day and some 'sukka' given in Bhikkshe and go to sleep.

    Looks like, in all these cases there is a set up. There is a boy or young man at the background who seems to be interested in the girl(s) concerned but was probably ignored by her. So, he employs thee BDs to rough up the man going with her, to teach him a lesson (and to others as well).
