Davanagere, Dec 12: The shocking incident of students harassing a senior teacher has culminated with the students seeking the teacher's forgiveness.

The students of SSLC studying in government high school of Nalloor village had harassed their teacher Prakash Bogar, shockingly hitting him and covering his head with a dustbin. The video of the incident had gone viral, eliciting demand for strict action against the students.

The local Madal Virupakshappa had also arrived at the village and held meeting with the villagers and teacher, promising suitable action. However, the teacher in his magnanimity forgave the students and urged not to punish them or file any case as it would damage their future. He also reasoned that they were young and would learn their lesson.

The students who were moved by the teacher's response realized the mistake of their actions and sought forgiveness from the teacher by bowing to his feet and admitting their wrongdoing.

Some organisations and villagers counselled the offenders.

On the day the incident took place, teacher Prakash was teaching a lesson in class. Four to five students, who were not interested in his teaching, put a dustbin on his head and insulted him. This act was caught on mobile phone by other students and it went viral on social media.

These students do not deserve to live in the society. What can the society expect from them when they grow up.? This Qualification is perfectly suitable for joining Moral Police or Terrorist Gang under patronage of present govt.

Those who chop the teachers hand were not student Mr. Joe.... Teacher student relation might be different, but for outsiders (general public) he/she is not teacher unless someone has attend their classes... Anyone does wrong be it teacher or professor will be punished either by court or through people....

Dinesh Dubai,No ,thats not the right thing to do.When the teacher with his vast experience ,know what to do with students.Suppose he took action on them ,situation would take more worst. They might have do more harm later. Now the students realized their fault and fell to foot means ,teacher has to do what must be done.FORGIVE in a big manner. He cant kick them out.Thats ok.He has still time to watch them their reaction in future ,and kick them if necessary for the next time.Everywhere sometimes students get out of their skin in their time of changing in adulthood ,harmonell change.Teacher has done good here..Respect.
