Baree naataka! It appears that there is some fund allocated to contain street vendors and its being used, but a bigger amount is about to reach pockets of MCC officials/corporators, who knows? even MLA/MPs may want a cut in that.

If that shop is unauthorised then there is a shop on footpath in sharbatkatte, even that is unauthorised. Please remove that too. If some influencial person or organisation is backing some shops you don't touch such shops. Some poor person vegetable vendor is there then you go and destroy that shop. How can you justify your claim

Very good move by the MCC by removing the petty shops from Valencia circle area, the Valencia park. The illegal petty shops there were obstructing motor vehicles to be parked. Now the police should see to people who park their vehicles on the footpath front of the Canara bank Valencia branch and wine shops which was hindering pedestrians by using the footpath.

The Municipal authorities in Mangalore and Udupi should be pro active in monitoring people who put up illelegal an unauthorised shops on main roads, pavements, etc. and a Notice Board in Kannada English and Hindi must be put up in all public areas and bus stands warning bold entrepreneurs against putting up illegal shops. The Udupi Municipality should also carry out this drive along the Brahmagiri SP office road, Ajjarkad, opp. To City and Service Bus stands, and in Adi Udupi

Very very funny. MCC only allowed them to do the business, they collect some charges, they give licence, they came to purchase items many times. NOW THEY ARE DESTROYING AND CLEAR THOSE PITTY SHOPES. Our MCC is don't have guts to clear the unauthorised shops which is in the parking slot in the commercial complex . They failed to shieft the service bus stand since more than 20+ years. They are fit to ride only pitty shops of poor people.

Good initiative. But please also provide them with controlled alternative locations where they can set up their shops. And whe on the subject of encroaching MCC property, please take stricter actions against bigger shops and establishments that wrongly put up no parking signs in public/MCC property in front of their buildings.
