Kalaburagi, Dec 27: “If the union government, which is discarding the values of democracy, attains power in 2024 with clear majority, the constitution will be in danger,” said leader of opposition of Rajya Sabha, Dr Mallikarjun Kharge.

Speaking to reporters, Kharge said, “BJP will make an all-out effort to change the constitution if they attain power with absolute majority. It is high time that the public of this country should wake up.

“There is already provision in Indian Penal Code (IPC) to prevent forceful conversion. Even then the BJP is hell bent on implementing religious freedom protection act. This clearly shows that BJP will somehow implement its agenda.

“PM Modi is saying something and doing things contradictory. When parliament was in session, he did not attend and in busy in election campaign for BJP in Uttar Pradesh. As it is election time now, he gives statement to media every day. If he has to say anything, he should say the same in Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha,” he said.
