Udupi: Those opposing anti-conversion law have their own agenda - Sunil Kumar

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (JD/DV)

Udupi, Dec 27: "Why should one oppose anti-conversion law? Action will be taken against those who forcefully convert," said Kannada and Culture minister V Sunil Kumar.

He further said, “Why should one worry who does not convert? This law is not implemented that Hindus will convert to Christianity. No one should lure to convert to their religion. The people who oppose the law have their own hidden agenda. We have also included the issue of ‘Love Jihad’ in this law. One should not get married with the intention to convert. The bill should get approved by the council.

“This is not the law done targeting the Christian missionaries. This is the law to protect the downtrodden.

“Is there any intention behind the social service of Christian missionaries? This is the law against the conversion in the name of service,” he said.

On night curfew in the state, he said, “Night curfew will be implemented for 10 days in the state. This is implemented considering the health of people. This measure has been taken to prevent the unnecessary movement of people.

“On December 30, there will be another on the same issue. Protecting people's health is the first priority. If the cases of corona increase, people will blame the government. The government will never tell to celebrate the New Year. In my life, I have never celebrated the New Year. I am celebrating the New Year during Ugadi. We cannot tell others to follow the same. Celebrating the New Year during Ugadi is our culture. The government will not stop the people from celebrating the New Year,” he added.

What about RSS/BJP? Dont they have their own agenda? What about you? What about your agenda? Can you tell us? Did you ever speak about BIT Coin Scam and 40% Commision? Just to divert the issue RSS/BJP has brought in anti conversion bill. Whom are you fooling?

Please ask this man when is his birthday, his wife's bday, India's Independence day, first day of his job, his or his parent's wedding anniversary. If the answer is May, June, August, Jan or any months of Gregorian calendar then he must celebrate Jan 1st since this is the first day of the calendar year which he is following on daily basis. Jan 1st is an International New Year and should not be associated with a particular community or religion. Celebrating Ugadi as New year is right which is cultural but saying that I don't celebrate Jan 1st as New Year is utterly foolish.

I see a lot of comments on 80% being scared of 2%. My question is simple - I don't see any of these 2% trying to convert in Islamic countries/societies. Why is that 2% are so arrogant in India but act like total cowards when it comes to dealing with 'peaceful' people? Even if you all know how Tipu Sultan raped and destroyed your community, why are you scared to even speak up against it? As a Catholic porbu, I find the behavior of our community ( 2%) quite disturbing.

I am amused to know that just a tiny 2% minority have been tremendously successful to scare and terrorise 80% majority religion without any violence which has necessitated the anti conversion laws in almost all Indian states.

The honorable minister should understand the fear & the possibility of Misuse of LAW - The fear is about REAL vs FEKU vs FORCEFUL....!!!!, The modus operandi can be simple..., with the help of one sachet (thotte) a street thug can be induced to act as if like Converting (aka FEKU conversion, with a hidden agenda) and then later make him Complain that he is forced to Convert... and make file a compliant..., Once the case is filed then it is incumbent upon the accused to prove his innocence....,(a tool to harrass & swindle money to suppress/close the case) till then.... it is good time for thug JOKARA clan to celebrate on the street & in front of GODI media.... with the help of continuous supply of sachets(Thotte)....!!!!,

Why don’t our honourable CM, PM or the so called responsible ministers ever talk about buying and selling of MLAs with hard cash in crores and toppling legitimate state government knowing fully well that it is fundamentally wrong and unethical? Don’t they know it is much more dangerous than forced conversions?? To be honest I don’t blame the politicians, the problem is with our general public who are corrupt, dumb and blind.

Anti-Conversion Law is Anti-National, Anti-Constitutional. It is a bill to suppress Christians. I feel pity to the Cow gobernment which scares for a meager population of 2.2% Christians over a majority of 79% Hindus.

Dear Ashok Naik, USA, YOU HAVE ACHE DIN IN USA, HERE IN INDIA ALMOST ALL ARE JOBLESS AND COMMIT SUICIDE. VIRTUALLY THE GOVERNMENT IS LOOTING PEOPLE'S WALLETS TO FILL EMPTIED TREASURY OF INDIA. SELLING BANKS, RAILWAYS. VIRTUALLY NO DEVELOPMENTS AND NO ACHE DIN. THE CONSTITUTION SAYS PRINT, PREACH PROFESS, PROPAGATE ONES FAITH AND TO ACCEPT A TO B'S FAITH IS A HUMAN RIGHT. SO IT IS ANTI-NATIONAL, ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL AND ANTI TO HUMAN RIGHTS. READ THE CONSTITUTION. THIS BILL IS JUST TO HARASS CHRISTIANS. WHY AN INDIVIDUAL SHOULD SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO D.C TO CONVERT PRIOR TO 30 DAYS . IT IS A PERSONAL MATTER AND WISH AND WILL OF THE PEOPLE. COME DOWN AND SEE THE REALITIES FACED BY THE PEOPLE. THIS BILL IS A BLATANT ATTACK ON CHRISTIANS AND ON CHRISTIAN CHURCHES. Jews have carried out Conversions. Sikhs have carried out Conversions. Hindus have carried out Conversions. Muslims have carried out Conversions. Buddhists have carried out Conversions. Christians have carried out Conversions. HISTORY IS EVIDENT TO ALL OF US; WE THE PEOPLE. HOW COME YOU OBJECT CONVERSIONS NOW. PRESENTLY YOU THE FUNDAMENTALS PUBLICLY ARE CARRYING OUT CONVERSIONS IN THE CROOKED NAME OF GHAR-WAAPSI. NOW DON'T CRY YOU HAVE, HAD FAILED IN CONVERTING SCORES OF PEOPLE THAT IS WHY YOUR POPULATION IS DECREASING. ACTUALLY CHRISTIANS POPULATION HAS COME DOWN. ACCEPTING ANOTHER FAITH IS THE RIGHT OF EVERY HUMANS OF THIS WORLD. YOU PEOPLE HAVE GOT LESSONS IN 2008. DON'T BE UNDER THE IMPRESSIONS OF YEDDY'S CHURCH ATTACKS. DON'T BLASPHEME THE CHURCH BUILT BY JESUS CHRIST THE SAVIOUR OF THE HUMAN'S WORLD. The Anti-Conversion Anti-National Law is a 2nd Church attack on Churches.

Ever since India got independence(1947), Hindu population in this country contributes above 80% of total population. Now it got increased to 84%. But, Christian population is still under 2% of total population of the country! Hindu religion was never under danger. But, as soon as BJPigs came into existence, "Hindu Khatre mein hein" !!! Whos agenda it is Mr. Sunil ??? Why worried so much???

Mr. Minister, the anti conversion law is clearly anti Christian law and we can clearly see the impact of the law already. Please don’t take the trouble to explain what it is. About night curfew, you accumulate thousands of people for religious functions and election rallies during the day but impose night curfew. This doesn’t make any sense to me.
