Mangaluru: Night curfew applicable on Kambala, Yakshagana – DC

Mangaluru, Dec 28: “The order of state government will be strictly followed with regards to night curfew,” said Dr Rajendra K V, deputy commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada district on Monday December 28.

He further said, “All programmes that happen overnight including Kambala and Yakshagana should be stopped by 10 pm. There is no relaxation is this rule.

“A meeting will be held with the organizers in this regard. As Omicron is spreading rapidly, government has brought strict rules.

"Under any circumstances, night curfew rules cannot be relaxed,” he said.

    First of all why Kambala, Yakshagana should allowed after 10.30 PM where as other religious events never allowed since 10.30 Rule came into existence 14 years before. Why partiality ? All are equal in front of law and constitution right?
