Mysuru: Mired in debts, young couple ends life by consuming poison

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Jan 27: A man and his wife committed suicide in city on Wednesday, January 26. Financial crisis led them to take the extreme step, it is said.
The deceased were Santhosh (26), a resident of Satagalli Layout near Udayagiri and his wife, Bhavya (22).

Santhosh was a businessman and was going through losses consistently since sometime. He was also mired in heavy debts in a bid to clear his loans.
Overwhelmed by the mounting debts and the fear of facing the lenders, the couple mixed poison in their meal and consumed it.

A case has been registered in the Udayagiri police station. The policemen visited the spot and conducted an inquest.

One thing everyone must understand , defaulting loan is not criminal offence. Its civil suite , thats it . The lenders will visit your house or make calls everyday , but one needs to stay brave , even if you default years , loans will be signed off and put into NPA , thats it . Your cibil score goes down and some award hits litigation , but you have no money in your account , nothing to worry , thats fair reason for not paying intetest . But if you mortgaged property , they may auction it , but loan without mortgage nothing to worry , but if you have money pay it .

Today everything revolves around money! If you don't have a job and are not able to bring in money, with empty pockets, even your closest people like spouse and children will lose respect for you, forget outsiders! Loan sharks are very deadly people; only those who have faced them how it is, they have no little fear even of the law enforcement agencies!

While surely deaths of Young Couple -- is -- Sad -- distressing -- Tragic-- It is to be noted some are not meant for business - Money given to start a business is only the Fuel -- One has to cover the distance -- BUSINESS INVOLVES -- MARKETING - PRICE --- - GOOD PRODUCT -payment COLLECTION ---Full DEDICATION -- so many issues-- -- repeated borrowing and some lenders giving @ high interest rates is the problem --At what point - one hits Stop and exit button in business -- if not doing well is very crucial --TO GET OUT OF A BAD SITUATION AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE IN SUCH CASES - CUT LOSSES- Also one sees with immense pain -- WIFE ---BHAVYA had followed in this path-- to be with husband in death -- - possibly no fault of hers -- But summing up -- a needless tragedy of a young couple in their Prime--

“Debt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of.” Without any doubts collapse of small scale business houses, suicides due to financial hardships and unemployment, family fights, robberies, rapes have increased in many folds, ever since BJP came to power.

Every body distances from people who have no jobs or in debts! People will be around you only in good times! The moment you lose your position and lack of income you will be treated as an untouchable! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT'S A FACT OF LIFE! "SUKK KE SUB SATHI DUKK MEIN NA KOI..."! For this couple, in heavy debt, suicide was the only option; if they had not, loan sharks would have pushed them to suicide! May their soul RIP! Demonetization & GST ARE THE MAIN CULPRITS & LATER CORONA ADDED FUEL TO THE FIRE! MOO MULTITUDE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM BUSINESSES ESPECIALLY IN HOSPITALITY HAVE SHUT DOWN PUSHING THE OWNERS INTO IMMENSE FINANCIAL DISTRESS! THIS IS A SITUATION FROM WHICH MOST WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT EVER! GOD SAVE US!

Suicide is not the solutions... When you fall in that situation I urge to visit local MLA first then respective religious leaders ( who claims to protect you), Check if they can help you out. This is a real test of your vote and offerings you made. Government can be blamed only after this.

RIP. This pandemic itself is despairing, killing many which is for elite bigPharma to make more money in vaccine related and online businesses? And with their money power and big commission they control governments worldwide including opposition leaders? So who survives who dies they least bother. Common man is in despair, suffering and dying. That's what these elite want, it is their depopulation agenda using virus and vaccine. If population not reduced then booster, still not reduced further boosters after boosters ? for greek named common cold and vaccine generated strains ? And when immunity half destroyed with these boosters then they bring deadly new virus and decimate many ? for their better world control agenda same time loot common people and governments tax payers money for their experimental vaccines for their evil greed of world control.

One thing that always made me wonder is, why people who are in need of finance, don't go to Missionary institutions and get converted ?? Well, this is my perception because we all the time hear that missionaries entice people with money and other requirements in life. If what the communal groups are alleging is correct, there shouldn't have been suicides owing to financial problems - am I correct, or wrong ?

Today we have entered into Digtal world. The fast paced obseleteness of business models will kill more people. Today is the era of online aggregators. they can reach any part of the country instantaneously. So the way todays economy is structured has the scope for rich to become very rich and the poor to become very poor.

I think no other way for them to take this extreme steps. RIP. After 2014 it's very difficult to do private business, because market has completely collapsed. Before taking loan, one has to think 10 times whether he can repay. Lacks of graduates, skilled works, and others are now living without job and work.

It takes a great courage to takes one's own life and we always should not comment against the people who took that bold step. This particular couple could have managed to raise funds by asking with friends and family. They did not want to get into that humiliating position. Instead took a bold step. Rest in peace Santhosh and Bhavya.

So very sad. In developed countries people who cannot repay loans can get protection by filing for bankruptcy. Here our politicians have other priorities like spreading hatred, dividing people on the basis of religion, banning things and wasting time in unnecessary issues. The core issues are not resolved and people are left to die, being unable to get any help from the people who are elected to look after the interests of its citizens.
