Mumbai, Feb 14: A Zimbabwean national, who entered Indian on medical visa for her cancer treatment was caught at the international airport for carrying seven kgs of Heroin and methamp weighing 1400 grams the total worth of which is said to be Rs 60 crore.
Accused Rosie Diaman (40) confessed to the customs officials that she arrived in the city for the treatment of her cancer and the kingpin of the smuggling racket of drugs in her country convince her to carry the drugs in exchange for free medical treatment for his end.
Diaman arrived in the city by a early morning fight and the customs sleuths had definite information about the drugs. The sleuths found the drugs stacked neatly in her trolley bag.
Two Zimbabwean nationals were arrested by the custom officials last year for carrying drugs worth Rs 240 crore in international market. The officials say that the drug transporter get the carriers easily as the country of Zimbabwe is poor.
The arrested Zimbabwean national was produced before the court, which remanded her to judicial custody till Monday, February 14.
