Shekhar (50) was killed in the incident. His younger brother, Raju (35), has been accused of committing this murder. The murder clearly was a result of persisting differences on the ownership of a piece of land.

Raju and Shekhar lived separately and Shekhar was living in the land sanctioned to his mother. Raju who was earlier living with Shekhar, had started living in a shed separately because of differences between the two. On Sunday, Shekhar was levelling his courtyard and was getting crushed stone transported to his house with the help of three workers.
