Wanted in 37 cases, Mumbai gangster held by Karnataka police

Bengaluru, Mar 8 (IANS): The Karnataka Police have arrested one of the most wanted Mumbai gangsters, Iliyas Abdul Asif a.k.a Bhackana, in an early morning operation here on Tuesday.

According to police, the accused was wanted by the Mumbai Police in 37 serious crimes -- murder, attempt to murder, extortion, robbery and drug cases.

The team headed by Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Vamsi Krishna, Additional SP Lakshmi Ganesh and Anekal Deputy SP M. Mallesh got information about the accused person staying in a private restaurant following which a special operation was conducted.

At the time of the arrest, the accused was holding a loaded gun, but the team managed to overpower him. The police have recovered four live bullets, one pistol, 15 SIM cards and six mobiles from the accused person.

The accused was also wanted in a case of assault on businessman Sikandar Raju Luladia with an iron rod at his office in Mumbai. The accused was in hiding in Karnataka after the Mumbai Police intensified search for him in the city and other parts of Maharashtra.

Police from all states are the same category. Their main aim is how to make money. Remember Homakunda burning case of Udupi and also imported cars stolen and sold out right from PC compound and sold by someone from their group? Most are in collusion with the underworld otherwise such organized crime wouldn't have taken place. How come this accused was staying in a restaurant for so long? Maybe out of pressure he was trapped just for namesake!

In the ARYAN KHAN -- RHEA CHAKRAVORTHY -- ANTILLA -- AMBANI - house -- Bomb scare -- etc -arrests of home minister -- 100 cr monthly collections --- has most ingloriously exposed MUMBAI police ---- AT ONE POINT --- Mumbai Police was so efficient in solving the cases etc etc -- they were called Scotland Yard of the East. Political interference can unfortunately ruin any good Institution -- like we find in all other --

Until recent times most notorious gangsters in Mumbai originated from DK, now many have been eliminated in inter gang wars or turned sober, but DK was a safe hiding place for them due to support from localites.

behenji, as per my assessment, he is thundupokri , not gangster... gangster will at least have some murder charges against him and most gangsters have international connections.... this man has only"attempt to murder" charges and has not fled abroad... minor gangster compared with our coastal belt stalwarts....

gangsters grow just because of support of police and corrupt politicians...if they are nipped in bud...there is no question of them committing repeated offences...there are so many crime series told by crime reporters on various sites...if one watches this fact is very clear...this is mere kannumucchale game...most of the time the police are tipped off by rival gang..like shoot out at lokhandwala...police just go and shoot thats it..
