Mangaluru: Police commissioner extends prohibitory orders in city

Mangaluru, Mar 12: Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar has passed an order, extending the prohibitory orders currently prevailing around the schools and colleges and other educational institutions of around 200-meter radius of all high schools under police commissionerate limits from March 14 at 6 am to March 19 at 6 pm.

This measure has been resorted to in view of the continuance of the Hijab-saffron shawls controversy.

The decision has been taken in order to maintain law and order and avoid any kind of untoward incident in the city.
