Mar 12: Udupi reports zero Covid cases, Dakshina Kannada records two

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 12: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, March 12, reported two new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero cases.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,445 out of which 22 are currently active.

As many as 2 patients were discharged from hospitals on Saturday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,848.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,15,94,580 as fine in 96,099 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No corona cases were reported on March 12, the total active Covid cases are 30. A total of 1 patient were discharged from hospitals on Saturday.

A total of 10,51,652 people have received first dose of vaccination and 9,71,157 have received both doses and 46,639 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
