Bengaluru, Mar 15: BJP national general secretary, C T Ravi, has advised the chief minister of Karnataka to act against those ministers who have not been doing justice either to the party or the portfolio allotted to them and thus proving to be a burden for the party.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Ravi revealed that some party activists are unhappy about the delay in appointment of chairpersons to corporations and boards. "A few are trying to encash the situation. I am of the firm view that those who do not in any way contribute to the party should be dropped. Appointments to corporations and boards should have been completed by now. I am not aware what prevents these posts from being filled," he explained.

Ravi also poured out his anger at the incapable ministers. He told the chief minister that as the government will be facing an election next year, the chief minister has to act on this issue now.

On the question of accommodating state BJP vice president, B Y Vijayendra in the state cabinet, Ravi said that the post of the state vice president is by no means unimportant. He said he fails to comprehend how to convince those who feel that this post is not important.

"The Congress leaders are acting as if they do not have any option other than clinging on to the same set of leaders. They have been facing defeat after defeat, and ignominious humiliations but they cannot think beyond Sonia Gandhi," he ridiculed.
