Mangaluru: MCC’s unscientific works invite ailments including asthma

Mangaluru, Mar 16: Elderly citizens and children living in the vicinity of Urundadigudde-Panjimogaru Road are suffering from Asthma due to unscientific work of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC).

Smart City related works are causing health complications to the public. For the past three months, the construction work of the road that leads to Urundadigudde of Panjimogaru is being done at the cost of several lacs of rupees. The road is completely filled with dust reportedly due to the failure of the engineering department of MCC as well as the commissioner. Public living in the area that this dust is affecting elderly people and children badly and lead to Asthma and dust allergy complications.

Public of this area have appealed to the organizations that want the development of Mangaluru to condemn the negligence of local corporator, commissioner of MCC, executive and assistant executive engineer and come to the aid of elderly and children living in the vicinity.

    Our Smart?city mangalore is becoming from bad to worse.No proper guidness,noone has interst?Roads are catastrophal condition ,vehicles are filled up in such a small city ,no proper paedastrians way,nothing .Vehicles are parked where place is even on roads on sides.What a tragody no Parkhouse for vehicles in mangalore.It would be a blessing if a big garage or Park house to install out of city.City would be more clean ,no smoke in city from vehicles and less carbon dioxidewhich causes Asthma and breathlessness.No trees in surroudings .Bann vehicles from centre like Buses from centre.There is a hospital in city where patients inhale more carbo dioxide than necessary.All these nOWpoints never disturbed MCC?Now Asthma inPanjimogaru?Road should be immediately Taared.Dont allow big buses to run here.Better citizens should be moved to other places than o these roads.to avoid lot of dust .

    MCC there is no proper person to guide. Smart city is going to worst city in few years because of unscientific work. First MCC must change( Sack) the person who is working as a advicer and planning. He has spoiled the city since more than two decades. Appoint brilliant engineer who have civil engineers degree .( from NITK) . I think at present only diploma holders are spoiling the city. Monitoring work should be given to final year civil engineering students from various colleges as a practical exams. College has to take responsibility of work.

    Mannagudda - Gandhinagar area has been made real Mannagudda. Everywhere mud, everywhere dust. Many elders and Kids are suffering from dust elergy, thereby coughing from past 2 months. Who will take responsibility? Do we need such a smart City of spoiling the health of the people.

    We are so used to 'CHALTA HAI' culture... There is no one to question public works... All 'INDAA PATT' type of works are going on... There is no supervision in many works... There is no quality check... There is no proper sign off and taking over... most of all there is no ownership of blunders...

    What is the educated MLA doing? only comes in picture when there is a private building to be opened. There are many places in Mangalore were jobs are just started and left there so that people can suffer with the dust. Most unscientific work in the name of ismart city works.
