Mangaluru: Retired teacher hospitalised after bike accident succumbs

Mangaluru, Mar 16:  A retired teacher who was hospitalized after an accident failed to respond to the treatment and passed away here on Wednesday, March 16.

The deceased is Nagappa (68), a resident of Guddoddi in Vorkady who was living in Yekkur. The accident had occured on February 28 while the deceased was traveling on a motorbike from Yekkuru to Vorkady. Another bike had rammed into Nagappa's two-wheeler injuring him seriously.

It is said that Nagappa had served as a teacher in Kodlamogaru's Vanivijaya High School for several years . After retirement, he was running a medical shop in Ragam in Manjeshwar.

Nagappa is survived by his wife Appi Bhai, also a retired teacher, daughter Deepthi and son-in-law Arpith. His close aides Subbanna Kalyani, Sunanada, Nalini, Sulochana, and others have condoled his death.
