Bengaluru, Mar 18: Investors coming forward to set up industries in any part of Karnataka will be provided with land and other basic facilities within 24 hours, promised Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani in the State Assembly on Friday.
The State Government is committed to encourage and provide all necessary facilities to investors setting up industrial ventures in any part of the State, Nirani said in reply to a question from Yeshwarao Vittalgouda Patil in the assembly.
The minister said the government has decided to earmark 1000 acres of land in each district and 100 acres in taluks to ensure comprehensive industrialisation of the State.
Notification for Magadi Industrial Estate in a week
Official notification for establishing industrial estate by the Karnataka State Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) at Magadi in Ramanagara district within a week, he said in reply to a question from Manjunath, MLA.
Nirani said KIADB has identified 3,000 acres of land for establishing the Magadi industrial estate at Magadi and mentioned that he himself has personally inspected the area.
Replying another question from Rupali Santhosh Nayak, the minister said the government was committed to implement the norm of providing 70% of jobs in all new industrial ventures in the State as per the Dr Sarojini Mahishi report. “There is no question of any compromise on the rule,” he asserted.
Nirani said the government wants to encourage employment generation and provide preference to local candidates, especially youth.
