Mangaluru: Man from Tamil Nadu arrested in Mulki market murder case

Mangaluru, Mar 21: The police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of a construction worker near Mulki bus stand.

It may be recalled that construction worker Harish Salian (37), a resident of Ullanje, Mennabettu grama, was found murdered in front of the Punaroor petrol pump, Mulki market on the night on March 19. His face had been smashed with a stone. A case under registration No. 11/2022 under IPC section 302 was registered in this connection at Mulki police station.

Mulki police inspector who investigated the case arrested M Murugan (36), a resident of Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu on Monday, March 21. It is said that the deceased was killed due to a financial dispute.

PSI Vinayaka Toragal, probationary PSI Krishna, ASI Umesh, Chandrashekar and staff took part in the operation led by Mulki police inspector Kusumadhar under guidance of Mangaluru north ACP Mahesh Kumar.
