German Lady Rescued Off Goa Coast From Passenger Ship

Panaji, Jan 26: Indian Coast Guard today rescued an ailing lady passenger from a passenger vessel off Goa coast in an operation which was conducted late evening.

Coast guard spokesman said that a German citizen on board passenger liner MV Costa Luminosa traveling from Male to Muscat was shifted from onboard after she developed serious sickness.

The call was received at 10 pm at Maritime Rescue Sub centre in Goa.  Indian coast guard ship C-133 had to sail out to reach to the vessel, which rescued the ailing passenger, Witting Bettina Christe. The spokesman said that she was handed over to the local agent for further medical treatment.
