Mangaluru, Mar 26: A biker suffered serious injuries after his motorbike dashed against the road divider near Haleangady on national highway 66 on Friday March 25. He was rushed to a private hospital where he breathed his last without responding to treatment.

The victim of this accident was Ganesh Devadiga (25) from Chitrapu in Mulky. He was working as a secuirty guard in NITK Surathkal. He was going to report for duty in the morning when the unfortunate accident took away his life. Immediately after the accident, an auto rickshaw driver from Haleangady helped to shift the youth to the hospital with the help of a private ambulance.

It is learnt that due to the impact of the accident, the left handle bar of the bike snapped into two pieces and the divider display board was bent. It is learnt that Devadiga had sustained serious injuries to his head and he suffered profuse bleeding.

Ganesh, it is gathered, was a hard working youth who was the pillar of support for his parents and a younger brother. He had earlier worked in a petrol bunk and a catering firm. A few months back, he had bagged job as the security guard at NITK. His family, which has lost its only earning member, is devastated.

Jose sur, you're making a mountain out of a molehill. I give condolances to the ones passed away according to their religion. Even in someones death why do you have to let your obsession with religion shine through? Lets live in harmony with each other......I don't extend condolences to a person of my faith as "sadgathi"....lets not build big big walls in between our compounds. May be in the next compound, a person of different faith might stay. .

In our country, all roads have a faulty construction design NOT adhering to international standards. Coincidence with drivers driving recklessly as if they're the owners of the road or in an abject urgency to rush to a crematorium or to answer nature's call. No matter how much of efforts is lost in creating awareness through jingles, media awareness etc. the drivers will never improve. They adopt a chaltha hain chalatha hain policy. Cynthia ...try refraining from non-Christian words which is against our religious practices. You know what I imply.

Joseph Qatar,It is not the problems of the road .It is the style and way one drives .Others too are driving on the same road.Simply dont give the fault to the road only. One has to adjust to circumstances.Because one has high class bike or want to show your stunt on it ,and drive reckelessly so that bikes hand brakes into two by the impact.Well now sad to the family and young persons life lost. Please be careful on road .May his soul rest in peace.

True Jossey sir....In my experience its our hindu/muslim brethren who come running to help without thinking twice.....but not my community people and worst is not even my own blood related people...!!!!!!....I have experienced. "Om/sadgathi words like these, no where written in our holy books that we cannot use such words" nor, our not preached in the sermon. Love another is the only commandment is holding superiority. Our religious leaders maintain harmony by visiting hindu festivals of different types/tie rakhi...Many of our priests celebrate mass with aarti in the beginning/lighting lamps etc. In north karnataka, we know some of our priests just stay in Mutt, wearing saffron and conduct mass. All such things are important. So, i love my Christianity. Open minded ..accepting all...Some statements, misguide the other faiths and they think whatever mentioned is true and hence society gets divided automatically..
