Mangaluru: SDPI holds a massive protest seeking justice for Dinesh's family

Daijiworld Media Network-Mangaluru (DV)

Mangaluru, Mar 29: Hundreds of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) members took part in a protest march seeking justice for Dinesh who breathed his last after he was assaulted by a BJP worker Krishna D in Kanyadi near Dharmasthala Village recently.

The protest march took place from Dr B R Ambedkar Circle to the Clock Tower in the city. SDPI leaders after meeting the victim's family members, started a vehicle rally from Belthangady via B C Road, Farangipete reached Mangaluru City.

Addressing the protesters, state president of SDPI Abdul Majid, slamming the BJP-led government in the state, said, "Are you (BJP) running a government in the state. Is this the justice you have given to a Dalit who was killed by a Sangh Parivar worker. After committing such an offence, he is out on bail in 15 days and threatening the family members of the victim. What kind of police and prosecution is this," he questioned.

"The government gives Rs 25 lac to the Harsha's family who was involved in communal riots but it has not given a single rupee to the family of two Muslim youths who were slain by the Hindu organisation workers and not even to the family of Dinesh who is a Dalit", he almented.

Rs 25 lac given to slain "rowdy sheeter" Harsha's family taxpayers' not "Bommai's father's"

Also, he said that the compensation that was given to Harsha's family was taxpayers' money. He also alleged that the members of Sangh Parivar did not take part in the freedom movement. He said that India is a secular country and swore that SDPI will not allow the Sangh Parivar to break the secular fabric of this nation.

Majid also said that Muslims are being denied business in Hindu fairs but several Hindus including Sangh Parivar members  are working in Muslim countries.
National Committee member Alphonso Franko said, "BJP cannot win elections on its own, hence, by doing communal politics, is trying to remain in power." He also condemned incidents of demolition of a prayer centre in Mangaluru and a church in Kolar and said that BJP was hitting the last nail in its coffin.
Bhaskar Prasad, state committee general secretary of SDPI said, "Government gives Rs 25 lac after the death of rowdy sheeter but it has not given a single rupee to the families of two Muslim youths and Dinesh. Chief Minister Bommai should remember that it is taxpayers' money and it is not an asset of his father. The Karnataka state is formed on the basis of the constitution."

'Home minister is Arda Jnanendra'

He also slammed Home minister Araga Jnanedra and said, "He is not  Araga Jnanendra but he is Arda Jnanedra (a person with half knowledge). The accused Dalit murderer is on bail as the crime case is not properly submitted before the court. Another appeal should be filed before that court. The MP, MLAs have remained mute spectators against atrocity on a Dalit."

BJP leaders who have come from the Dalit background even are not opening their mouths against injustice, he lamented.

Slamming RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, he challenged Bhat to protect Hindus from the attacks of the Sangh Parivar workers.

Later, the assistant commissioner who came to the spot received a memorandum from the protestors.

Protestors also demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation for the victim's family, a government job to a family member. "Two acres of land should be given to
Dinesh's family. The government should cancel the bail of the accused and file another appeal to the court", he demanded.

Anand Mithabail, State Committee member also spoke on the occasion.

Athaullah Jokatte, district president and others were present.

SUCH PROTESTS IF THEY AFFECT TRAFFIC AND COMMON PEOPLE SHOULD BE BANNED. IF THEY FEEL ITS THEIR DEMOCRATIC RIGHT, THEY ARE FREE TO HOLD SUCH PROTESTS IN SOME NO MANS LAND OR IN BEACHES WHERE NO COMMON CITIZES ARE AFFECTED.

SDPI knows they can't win elections with only muslim votes. So, they are trying divide and rule policy learnt from British. People are not fools. They understand now. Using caste and religion for political gains don't work anymore.

You come to Mangalore and analyse things. People now are aware of peaceful community strategies.. So however high you jump, it will fall pale in the eyes of justice. Spread friendliness, humanity, love. Everyone knows how you encash the situation and turn it into your favor. BJP is the dumbest party on earth, they should learn all these cunning tactics from you guys.

"Hate mongering" is the only weapon BJPigs have, to gain/retain power. Irony is "politically immature" and "religiously blind" people are easily falling in the trap of BJP !!! If family of a person killed by Non-BJPig can get 25 lakh compensation, why not a family of poor person killed by BJPig ? Where are those "so called" saviors of our religion/culture now, who scream "Navella Hindu.. naavella ondu" ???

Why are you in such a big dilemma just use constitution as ‘Operator’s Manual’ and rule the country. Otherwise declare to the world india is religiously based fanatic communal authoritarian country since 2014 and rule and scrap the constitution. But don’t say to world one thing and do different in India. At least one thing is clear and understood and people can make their choices accordingly. Be a Man, Show your guts and move on.

To put in two simple words whatever people are protesting and demanding is valid and legal and whatever BJP govt is doing is invalid and illegal.
