Mar 30: Dakshina Kannada, Udupi districts report one Covid case each

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 30: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, March 30, reported one coronavirus case while Udupi registered one case.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,483 out of which 4 are currently active.

Four patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,04,480 as fine in 96,200 mincidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One case was reported on Wednesday. The total active Covid cases have risen to four. Two patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday.

Udupi taluk reported 1 case, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 10,71,170 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1021906 have received both doses and 54,077 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
