Kolar: Former union minister fumes against former assembly speaker

Daijiworld Media Network - Kolar (SP)

Kolar, Mar 31: "Mr Ramesh Kumar, henceforth your ploys will not work. Your insidious ways will not help you. I will come to Srinivasapura to lay bare before the people your reality," warned former union minister K H Muniyappa. His anger was directed at former assembly speaker K R Ramesh Kumar. He hurled abuses at Ramesh Kumar by addressing him in the singular.

Muniyappa addressed a press conference here on Wednesday March 30 at the Press Club. "My patience has a limit. It has worn out. I cannot tolerate for too long. The next election is just a year away. I will show to the people what I am and what I can do in the coming days," he said.

He pointed out that among the scheduled castes and tribes, only veteran Congress leader, Babu Jagjivan Ram had won elections eight times in a row. "I had won Lok Sabha election seven times. My rivals from my own party, who were unable to tolerate my progress, engineered my defeat," he complained. However, he said he has been building the party again as the high command has requested him to strive to bring the party back to power both at the state and central level.
