Oscar-nominated 'Inside Job' to Hit Indian Screens Feb 4


New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS): Critically acclaimed documentary the "Inside Job", which wowed audiences abroad and got an Oscar nomination, will be released here Feb 4.

Directed by Charles Ferguson and narrated by actor Matt Damon, the film has been nominated in the best documentary feature category for Oscars.

The documentary provides a comprehensive analysis of the global financial crisis of 2008, which at a cost of over $20 trillion, is labelled as the worst recession since the Great Depression.

It has been shot in the US, Iceland, England, France, Singapore and China.

The film will be released in India by Sony Pictures exclusively in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, followed by a subsequent rollout in other cities.

The "Inside Job" has been screened at the prestigious film festivals of Cannes, Toronto and New York. In India, the film was earlier screened at the Mumbai Film Festival.
