Mangaluru, Mar 31: Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad held their third multilingual poets conference at Ujire, Dakshina Kannada district about the history of India’s independence. Eighteen poets who arrived from various states read the poems created by them in Kannada, Tulu, Telugu, Kodava, Malayalam, Marathi, semi lingual, Sanskrit and Konkani languages.
Anita P Poojary, executive committee member of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha, Maharashtra read her poem titled ‘Akshara’. Avadhani Surya Hebbar read his poem in Sanskrit. Meenakshi Ramachandra read her poem in Malayalam titled ‘Ammanondige ondu yatre’.
Sujatha Hegde, Tanmaya Premakumari, Venkatesh Nayak, Srividya, Somashekar K Tumakuru, Poornima Suresh, Hritpurvaka Korna, Chinmayi Bengaluru, Subhashini, Annappa Arabagatte, Sushma Guruputra, Sneha Fatara Fekara and Parinita Ravi presented their poems.
Suma Vasanth presided over the conference. Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad Bengaluru and Tumakuru division convener Thimmanna Bhat compered the programme and rendered vote of thanks.
