Kundapur: Two PU students out to swim in lake swept to death

Kundapura, Mar 31: Two boys studying second PUC met a watery grave in the Macchattu Kalinajaddu lake in Amasebail police limits on Thursday, March 31.

Sumanth Madiwala and Ganesh, both aged 18 years and residents of Ullur are the unfortunate victims.

The deceased duo, classmates in Shankaranarayana Junior College, had gone for a swim in the afternoon to the lake. When they got down into the water they were dragged into the water current. A bystander who witnessed the incident alerted the localites. Though they tried to rescue Sumanth and Ganesh, the boys were swept away by the strong current.

Amasebail police station PSI Subbanna and staff visited the spot.

    Indeed extremely sorry for these two youngsters ! Their fate had been perhaps determined by Him ! But He will welcome them gladly into His Kingdom !!!
