Feb 2(TOI): It is believed that after a lot of negotiation, Akshay has finally agreed to be part of the sequel.
It was reported earlier that Akshay Kumar wouldn't be part of the sequel of Milan Luthria's successful film Once Upon time in Mumbai. News was that Akshay was demanding a heavy fee to play the role of dreaded underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
But the latest development is that the actor has decided to negotiate so as to not let go a substantial role in the film. According to an industry insider, producer Ekta Kapoor is high on the sequel of OUTIM. She wanted Akki to step in Emraan Hashmi's shoes but the only deterrent was Akki's demand for high moolah. As per reports, Akki had demanded a whooping 27 crores.
Akshay has cut down his fee to play the role which will also bring a variety to his body of work. The actor has a string of flops behind him and needs a different and strong role to resurrect his image in the market.
We tried getting in touch with director Milan Luthria but he was unavailable for comment. An official announcement of the same is expected soon.
