'Harry Potter' Franchise to Be Honoured at BAFTA


Los Angeles, Feb 4 (IANS): The "Harry Potter" film franchise will be honoured at the British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) for its outstanding contribution to cinema.

"I am thrilled that the 'Harry Potter' film series is being honoured with this award," aceshowbiz.com quoted actor Daniel Radcliffe, who played the title role in the hit movie franchise, as saying.

"I have loved every minute of making these films and to me the real heroes are the crew and the huge team of craftsmen that have made all eight of them possible - this award is a testament to their incredible work," Radcliffe added.

In total there are seven "Harry Potter" movies.
