Tulu Sangha Baorda celebrates Bisu festival

Baroda, April 14: Tulu Sangha Baroda celebrated the Bisu, New Year festival at IndiaBulls Megha Mall here. Well known entrepreneur, social worker Radhakrishna Shetty inaugurated the programme.

President Shashidhar Shetty presided over the programme. Honorary office bearers, president of the Sangha, Dayananda Bontra, Secretary Balakrishna A Shetty, Treasurer Vasu B V Poojary and ladies wing president Dr Sharmila M Jain were on the dais.

Vice president of the sangha, Mahaveer B Jain, K Madhava Shetty, joint secretary Prashanth Hegde, Madan Kumar Gowda, Vasu V Suvarna, Sujatha K Shetty, Sathish Shetty and others were present. Members of the sangha and women sang bhajans.

The departure of convener S K Haleangady, former president S Jayarama Shetty, Indudas V Shetty, veteran Ratnaker D Shetty, Sanjiva Shetty, Ananda Ameen and Raja S Salian was recollected with the silent prayers.

Shashidar Shetty welcomed and gave an introduction. Dayananda Bontra gave details of the Harvest festival of Tuluvas. Office bearers honoured the guests and heads of organizations. Balakrishna A Shetty compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
