Mangalore: Renovated Office of Information Department Inaugurated

Mangalore, Feb 7: The renovated office of the information department was inaugurated by district-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar on Monday, February 7.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the state government had released Rs 9 lac for the development of the office. He also mentioned about the new vehicle provided for the information department and for reporters. Vishwanath Kodikal, contractor of the project and co-workers were felicitated by the minister.
The minister also said that grant will be provided to Mangalore Corporation in order to keep the city clean and green. After the formal function a press meet was held on census 2011. The minister appealed the public to support census team.
Assistant commissioner Prabhakar Sharma, PWD superintendent B S Balakrishna, zilla panchayat CEO Shivashankar; and Dr R Rangappa were present on the occasion. Pushparaj, reporter of Vartha Bharathi, compered the programme. K Rohini, information officer, proposed the vote of thanks.
