Bryan Adams to Receive 15-foot Guitar as Gift


Mumbai, Feb 9 (IANS): Canadian rocker Bryan Adams will be receive a special gift -- a 15 feet tall guitar with signatures and messages of his fans -- when he lands here for a five-city tour starting Friday.

The guitar will be presented by music store Planet M as a tribute during the concert at the MMRDA Grounds here Saturday.

The guitar, which was unveiled here Wednesday by composer duo Sajid-Wajid, is mounted on a Canter vehicle. It will move across the hotspots -- malls and colleges -- of Mumbai over three days so that fans could write messages to Adams.

Sajid admits he is a big fan of the singer, famous for numbers like "Summer of 69", "Everything I do" and "18 till I die".

"Bryan is a legend. I have grown up listening to his songs. I have sung his song 'Everything I do' endless times to my wife. Bryan's love songs are an essence of his albums. The two of us share the same sun sign Sagittarius," said Sajid

Wajid said: "Bryan is a multitalented personality. He is a great singer, performer, lyricist, programmer and a photographer too. I am glad that we brothers have got the opportunity to unveil the guitar for the sensational artist."

Adams will be performing Feb 11-16 at the Micromax Bryan Adams Live in Concert India Tour, scheduled at Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi and Hyderabad.
