Mangalore: Yenepoya Foundation Honours Meritorious Students

Mangalore, Feb 10: The Yenepoya Foundation, a unit of Yenepoya Moideen Kunhi Memorial Education and Charitable Trust distributed Academic Excellence Awards to meritorious students of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts who have excelled in SSLC, PUC and degree examinations, during a function held at university auditorium, Yenepoya University campus, Deralakatte, here on Thursday February 10.
Congress leader Oscar Fernandes was the chief guest for the occasion. MLA U T Khader was the guest of honour. Yenepoya Group chairman Yenepoya Mohammed Kunhi presided over the programme. Vice-chancellor Dr P Chandramohan, registrar Dr Janardhana Konaje was also present on the dais.
B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen welcomed the gathering. Professor P C M Kunhi proposed the vote of thanks.
As a social commitment, Yenepoya Foundation also sponsors 5 MBBS and 5 BDS seats every year at Yenepoya Medical and Dental Colleges which are based on merit-cum-means, out of which 1 seat in each college is reserved for orphans.
