Mangaluru, May 4: The Ullal police have arrested Ullal Kadappura resident Sameer (28) who was on the run after allegedly murdering rowdy sheeter Target Ilyas four years ago.
Rowdy sheeter Ilyas who was an accused in several criminal cases was killed in his flat at Jeppu Kudpady on January 13, 2018. Dawood, Riaz and Nasir, three of his murder accused were arrested on the day of the murder. But one of the accused Sameer, was absconding.

Though Ullal police tried to arrest him during Ullal Uroos two months ago, they could not succeed. However, the police station staff Ranjith, Chidanand and Sathish arrested Sameer under the directions of Ullal station inspector Sandeep after obtaining information that he was travelling to Bengaluru via Pumpwell.
