Bengaluru: Orthopaedic text book written by Dr Edward Nazareth released

Bengaluru, May 7: 'Text Book of Orthopaedics' as per latest CBME guidelines of National Medical Council written by Dr Edward L Nazareth, professor of Orthopaedics at Srinivas Medical College, Mukka Mangaluru, was released by Dr M K Ramesh, vice chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Health University, Bengaluru at the Annual Conference of Karnataka Orthopaedic Association organized at St John's Medical College here on Friday May 6. Dr Fr Paul Parathazham, director of St. John's Medical Academy was the chief guest. Dr Chandrashekar, president of Karnataka Orthopaedic Association, Dr Mallikarjuna Swamy, head of the department of Orthopaedics, St John’s Medical Academy and other eminent orthopaedic dignitaries were on the dais.

The book contains latest information on orthopaedic trauma and diseases meant for both MBBS and postgraduate students of orthopaedics. The book is around 600 pages and is published by CBS Publishers, Delhi.

Dr Jacob Ipe, who was postgraduate student of Dr Edward Nazareth, now a consultant in Bengaluru has prepared illustrations for the book. .

Dr Edward Nazareth has more than 15 books published in Konkani and has received several awards.
